From the pecan-tree lined roads everywhere you looked, to the sweet southern drawls, and the beautiful southern country homes (complete with huge front porches--oneverysingleoneofthem) I fell a little bit in love with Georgia last week. I ate boiled peanuts and grits for the first time, shot a beautiful wedding, had an Anne of Green Gables marathon with one of my dearest friends, explored Atlanta with the same friend and somehow ended up in the scary part of town (<--adventure!!!), went to the aquarium, and got a thorough dose of sweet southern hospitality. And now I'm back home, excited to sleep in my own bed, hug my family, and see The Boy! (I'll probably hug him too;)
Much Love, Jessica Shae

oh, so beautiful! I especially love those trees. I feel like Anne, "I couldn't live where there were no trees--something vital in me would starve.". And "I'll probably hug him too. ;)" That made me smile. :) ♥
ReplyDeleteGeorgia is just beautiful...I've been to Atlanta, but only for a couple of hours :)
ReplyDeleteThose tree lined roads are just spectacular, Jessica! xx.
is it sad that I LIVE in Georgia (close to ATL) and haven't been to some of these places!! Where exactly were you guys? (the beautiful fields)
ReplyDeleteWowie. This makes me want to travel down to Georgia. I haven't been since I was a toddler. Ha! I love that field photo too. So peaceful looking.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Sent ya an email! :)
Oh myyyyyyy, I love these! You're so good at documenting trips/life!
ReplyDeleteOh, wow. these are so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI cannot even tell you how much I would have liked to been born with a southern drawl. Ohh. Did you get to see any historical sites?

these photos really take me away. i am from the south and these photos truly reveal the charm of it. and the aquarium photo is just...well, i stared at it for several moments, completely mesmerized!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! Anne of Green Gables marathon? I'm in! ;)
ReplyDeleteLove love love these...and wait, that picture of the flat iron shaped building. IS that the Matlock building? :-)
ReplyDeleteOoooh girl! Boiled p'nuts and grits for the first time! Congratulations!!! (If they don't have those in Texas, bless your dear heart...y'all are h'arribly d'prived!) These pictures almost made my heart ache, I love the South so. very. much. :)
ReplyDeleteYou mean to tell me they don't have grits in Texas, let alone boiled peanuts?! Come on. SERIOUSLY. ;)
ReplyDeleteEven though I'm from the Deep South and am thankfully not away from it right now :), those pictures just...ohhhh...I love it. I wholeheartedly agree with Elsie Dismore's description of it as "our dear, sunny South..." :)
The second-to-last picture definitely reminds me of Ocean Springs-- maybe if it works out for your to shoot my sister's or my weddings whenever that happens we'll take you down there :) how's that sound? ;)
I love Georgia so much. Reminds me of home.
ReplyDeleteOkay, so I wanna know if you LIKED the boiled peanuts. ;D Gorgeous pics as usual, Jessica! :)
