My life . . . is insane

Friday, April 16, 2010

Let's everyone just take a deeeeeep breath. Oh wait, maybe you didn't need that, but I definitely did. Goodness, I knew my life was about to get crazy, and I tried to brace myself for it. . .but I think I was only half ready for the onslaught of busyness that has become my life over the last two weeks :)

In the last 7 days I have taken almost 3,000 pictures, while shooting a wedding with the lovely Erin Melissa, and doing 4 portrait sessions, I've been in the car driving for over 16 hours driving to all my different photography engagements. . .and had waaaaay to much fun doing all of that :) I got home from Tyler, TX this afternoon and I have a little break of about 5 days before I head to DC to shoot a wedding and attend a workshop and then straight from there to Chicago to shoot another wedding visit one of my best friends and attend a photographers networking event.

{ Goodness I love my life }

I did have to work alot this week, but I made sure and had fun while doing it ;) I got to meet someone that I have known about for almost a year now (she has been reading and commenting on my blog since last Summer) and it was fun to finally meet you Rachel!

Aaaaand I got to hang out with 2 of my 3 favorite Hall girls. We went to Sonic, and ordered in various accents. It was obviously alot of fun ;)

And with this flood of portrait sessions has come an ever increasing number of blog posts that I have to share with you. And booooy am I excited about it! So, just because I am nice like this, I thought I would share a couple of pictures with you from my last week to give you an idea of what you have to look forward to.

So, lemme just say that I LOVED shooting this wedding. More like - I was skipping around (well, almost skipping) because I was having so much fun. I can't wait to share all of the pictures, Brady and McKenna, you were amazing.

My first shoot in Tyler was a maternity shoot with a dear friend, Kaela. Who also happened to be one of my very first "real" clients last Summer. Yay for people who trust you even when you are still trying to figure out what in tarnation you are doing! And then come back for more! ;)

My second shoot with Rachel Leigh Green was so much fun, they had an amazing location picked out and some really cool props to go along with it!

Ashley and I have been talking about me taking her senior portraits for forever it seems like, I'm so glad we could finally work it out! And lunch at Sonic before the shoot was a nice addition. I'm thinking that all my shoots should start with Sonic Happy Hour from now on, yes? :)

I finished off my Tyler shoots with bridal portraits for one of my May brides. You won't be able to see any of them other than this one until the end of May sometime (after her May, 22 wedding) but I am absolutely dyyyying to show them to you. Just believe me, they are amazing.

Much Love.

  3. Hey, found your blog through a friend's blog or facebook.

    I am just getting into professional photography and I really enjoy getting some creative ideas from blogs like this. I like the focal points and outdoor "high key" lighting that you use in a lot of your pics. Keep up the good work!

    In Christ,
    Jack
