Mini sessions: portraits || dfw engagement & wedding photographer

Monday, November 26, 2012

I've been a bit pre-occupied for the last few months, so I'm a little bit late to the party, but I'm betting that there are a few of you still out there who haven't had the chance to have family Christmas card pictures taken this year.  If so, here's your chance to do that!  I'm offering mini sessions for the next 3 weeks for just $129 a session (more than half off what a normal portrait session costs!).  I'm only accepting a few bookings, so if you're interested, email or call soon!
Photobucket
(the fine print is: additional charges may apply for bookings outside the DFW metroplex, and this price is not available for engagement sessions.)

Much Love,

Beam Family: portraits || arbor hills nature preserve portrait photographer

Thursday, October 11, 2012

I rarely accept family sessions, I stay so busy with weddings, engagements, and seniors that family sessions are far and few between. But there are several families that have a special place in my heart and I can't say no to them :)

The Beams are one of those sweet families. I first met Ginni when I shot Elvis & Katie's wedding. She was a bridesmaid and after the wedding when I found out that we actually lived near each other I asked Ginni and Alan to model for one of my internships the next spring. Alma was a tiny little breathe of a thing at that time, just a few weeks old in her mommy's tummy. Last year I was able to take pictures of beautiful Alma Sophia when she was just 8 days old and she officially wormed her way into my heart with her scrunchy little smile :)

I haven't seen any of them since that shoot last Fall, so I was pretty excited to get to see this little brown eyed darling in person after a whole year had passed. I just can't get over her head of brown hair and the smile that takes over her whole face. She reminds me a little bit of "Boo" from "Monsters Inc." yes?

When I sat down at my desk yesterday morning and started to write out a to-do list for the week (one of my fa-VO-rit things to do) I thought that mayyyybe just maybe I had been a little optimistic with how many things I had scheduled over the next few weeks. In less than two weeks I have 6 portrait sessions and 2 weddings to shoot, 2 of the portrait sessions and a wedding are happening in Colorado this weekend, and 1 of the portrait sessions and the other wedding is happening in E. Texas next weekend.  So obviously, I thought I should keep up that crazy pace for the rest of the month and I decided to run a special to help make that happen!  bringiton :)

Now's the time to book your portrait sessions my friends--before you lose your summer tan!  Any portrait sessions booked and scheduled with me in the month of October will receive a 15% discount on their total package price.  October is my state's prettiest month in my opinion, as far as light and weather goes, so it's the perrrfect time for pictures!   I'm already booked up for half the month, and only have room for about 8 more sessions, so contact me soon if you're interested in booking.

I'd looooove to take pictures of your beautiful smiling face! :)

*all sessions located outside of a 40 mile radius of Frisco, TX will be subject to travel fees.

Much Love.

Williams family: portraits {dallas, tx engagement & wedding photographer}

Wednesday, August 24, 2011

Engagements and weddings are my fav.  Like really really my fav.  Anything involving happy, laughing, in love couples is so much happiness to my heart.  And last year I kind of overdosed on my favorite.  I shot aloooot of weddings and engagements, and did very few portraits.  And at the beginning of this year I realized that I missed portraits.  Because to much fav is kind of like just eating icing all the time, and no cake. (although, if you're me, it'd be like eating cake all the time with no icing, because c'mon people, cake is so way better than sugary icing. But that's just another discussion for another time.)

And though couples + weddings + love + engagements is still a fav, I've reaaallly enjoyed getting to shoot more portraits this year.  I love the variety, and the way it mixes up what I do :)  And while I don't post allll of my portrait work here (there just really isn't time) I do like to share some every now and then.

The Williams family is definitely one I couldn't help but post.  Mr. Williams is our family's dentist, Erin and Anna are two of my dear friends, and I just generally love their family a whole lot :)  I don't think they take a bad picture either--making my job raaaather fun, and easy.

Much Love.
