Tyler and Veronica's day started out slightly cloudy with a chance of rain but everyone was optimistic that the most it would do was sprinkle. We were just slightly off on that prediction. After their gorgeous wedding in a cathedral-like church, we left for their apple orchard reception and got caught in one of the nastiest rainstorms I've ever been in. It was so coming down so hard they were handing out towels to people as they walked in the door to the reception. The plan had been to take most of the pictures at the orchard, so naturally I was worrying over when and were I was going to be able to take pictures if the rain didn't ever let up. About thirty minutes into the reception it seemed to be letting up a little so I grabbed everyone and prayed that I got at least twenty minutes of clear sky to get pictures in. It was amazing because I had taken about thirty minutes for pictures and then literally seconds after we walked back in the door it started pouring all over again.
Their reception was sweet and cozy with everyone tucked inside dry and warm as the rain smacked against the windows. The whole evening was relaxed and happy despite the crazy storm outside and just before the night ended the skies cleared and we were able to run out for a few more pictures in the hazy just-after-the-rain golden light.
