7 states in 20 days: travel || dallas, tx engagement & wedding photographer

A few weeks ago my family took the longest vacation ever known in the history of man (or maybe just the longest one we've ever taken. ever.)  Over 20 days we drove across 7 states, made 2 emergency room visits, hiked + camped in sunshine AND rain, saw the grand canyon for the first time, heard the mormon tabernacle choir in concert, came within about 20ft of a bull elk, and spent an inordinate amount of quality time with each other in the car.  You know, just normal family vacation types of things. From the mountain tops to the flat desert, to the ocean and the tops of the Grand Canyon every single bit of it was an incredible testimony to the creativity of our Creator.  It was lovely, and I came away from the trip with the happiest memories, and some of my favorite travel pictures I've ever taken.  Enjoy. Y'all are probably going to be sick and tired of hearing about my trip by the time I finish all my posts about it.  But a 3 week trip to some of the greatest sights and tourist attractions in N. America obviously means I'm overflowing with pictures and memories :)  I will try to contain myself though, I promise.  This is just a fun little video that I put together of some of the places we explored in San Fran.

I'm sitting in some random little coffee/souvenir/snack shop soaking up as much free wifi and cell phone signal as I can.  My family is on day 18 of our 20 day road trip vacation and we're at our last stop, the Grand Canyon.  I've taken thousands of pictures, a video or two, and I have lots of memories to share but for now I thought I'd just leave you with a tiny taste of what I've been seeing the past few weeks.
